Acadia National Park, nestled primarily on Maine's Mount Desert Island, is a stunning coastal marvel in the United States, celebrated for its dramatic convergence of mountains and ocean. Visitors are treated to breathtaking scenic views, from the rugged, granite-lined shores where waves crash against rocky beaches, to the panoramic vistas offered from Cadillac Mountain, the highest point on the U.S. East Coast and one of the first places to witness the sunrise. The park provides an abundance of outdoor activities for all skill levels, including exploring over 120 miles of historic carriage roads by bike or foot, hiking challenging trails like the Precipice and Beehive or gentler paths through spruce-fir forests, kayaking along serene inlets, and even rock climbing on its prominent granite cliffs.
